This one is for every Sabyasachi Lover out there, don’t overreact just yet, but there is some serious competition to Sabya and you’ll love her too we bet! 😛 We too absolutely LOVE and dream about wearing a Sabyasachi lehenga, don’t get us wrong, but Anita Dongre is giving us major bride goals with a fashion game soooo strong. Yes girls, you heard it right! Anita Dongre has upped her game with her latest collection showcased at the ICW and everything she has done off late has been on FLEEK! 💖
Here is why we think Anita Dongre deserves the throne for the Best Indian Bridal Designer ⬇︎
She’s always experimenting with every collection and her newest collection is a proof of that. Besides having the “khejri” motif stand out in almost every garment, her collection also had some super interesting pieces such as dresses with Obi belts, sarees and frilled skirts 😍. Although the base shade chosen by her is white, plenty of maroons, royal blue, inky blue and green were a such a pretty sight!
She believes in Functional Fashion
Anita Dongre thinks about everything to make sure her bride isn’t just stylish but comfortable too. Do you guys remember the super super chic attire she designed for a beach mehendi a.k.a. a bride in SHORTS!
She also did a lehenga with pockets so you don’t need to carry a clutch – thoughtful much!
Drop Dead Gorgeous Garments
This one needs no explanation.
Traditions mixed with modernity
Her collections are worth their weight in work, and the right kind of traditional charm. She has a wholistic vision that’s amazeballs! Thats what makes her the best Indian Bridal Designer this season, with more than good reason!
She’s got something for everyone
Anita Dongre does everything now – from bridal to trousseau to groom’s wear to the jewellery. And you won’t believe the latest addition to her line is *drumroll* bridesmaid dresses. Yes, you read that right. At ICW, at the end of her show, she unveiled a look for your bridesmaids and nieces that are adorable like how!
She’s totally the designer after our hearts and our pockets (pun intended 😝) Wouldn’t you agree? Tell us in the comments below ⬇︎
