Anu weds Manu – A Stunning Delhi Wedding ✨ with Decor that Blushed and a Bride that Didn’t! 😜

An intimate and Oh! so fun Stunning DIY Pastel Day Wedding in Delhi, with an unconventional power bride at its reigns! Creative and so not cliché, it sets a benchmark of ‘Simple-y Stunning’ Pastel Perfection.

ANU WEDS MANU

Meet Anupama (Anu) and Rachit (Manu) – the couple that just didn’t care for a loud affair! With a snug guest list of 200 of their mains, they got married in a practical, pretty, peachy and perfect ceremony at Anu’s farm-house in Delhi!

The prettiest flowing decor, a beautiful natural garden look, blush coloured flowers, a cozy ghar ki shaadi feel and the groom’s side stealing the bride’s shoes! We loved it all 💗

It was an Indian wedding, neither big nor fat. It was Mad, Magical and Minimal instead! From the ghodi wala to the kind of florals, from the colour of the drapes to the Photo Booth signages – Anu designed and planned everything! And she did ALL this while continuing her work alongside – right down to a dress delivery for her client on her OWN WEDDING DAY!  *Super Bride Alert!*

“I just didn’t want a wedding planner – I wanted it to be like a ghar ki shaadi. A simple pretty day wedding. No celebrities, ‘coz I didn’t want to share the attention ! No reds, because that’s what everyone does! I wanted soft Blush and Ivory colours instead, in a way that looked like fabric has been thrown all across the farm. Just soft drapes everywhere” *swoon*

And lets not forget the tree!

“I wanted to get married under a tree, only we didn’t have one in the centre of the farm. Everything was designed to make my tree mandap happen!”

“I don’t like getting clicked, I get camera conscious. So, instead of stressing, I told my photographer I’d give him the best shoot of his life and started having fun instead!”

SO, HOW DO YOU HANDLE SO MUCH? TIPS FROM THE BRIDE ⬇︎

You start right ✅

“Take whatever stress you want during the planning, but on the wedding dates, I wanted everyone to just let go. Have fun no matter what goof ups happen. My guest list was anyways people who would come only because they were happy for us, not to look for shortcomings in the arrangements!” 👊🏼

Be Decisive

“First sit with yourself to decide what you want ‘coz its your wedding! Find your wedding vision with your fiancé, get your family on your side, shut your ears and stick to your decisions.”

Make detailed notes in your wedding diary ✏️

“I was doing so much together, my Brother had to step in and take over a month before the wedding. Because my diary was so detailed right down to balances and balance work, all I had to do was sit with him one day and hand over my diary!”

⚠️⚠️This is very important! You need to list everything out in full detail so that work can happen without your involvement on the day of your wedding and after! The last thing you want is to get calls two days after the wedding, that’s when you really do want to just sit back, switch off your phone and enjoy!

Find the right vendors

“Look for new people who want to showcase their work. They will go above and beyond to make sure they deliver their best! Our caterer was from Ludhiana doing his first Delhi Wedding, what he doled out was better than any of Delhi’s finest!”

Stick to the plan, Have a blast!
