Stylists’ Reveal – Secrets to Matching Your Bridal Lehenga to your Wedding Jewellery

Gone are the days when you had to wear old jewellery your MIL bought, whether it matches your Bridal lehenga or NOT!😥 Ladies it’s the time to go bold and stand out. Brides today coordinate everything with their outfit be it the wedding jewellery or that kissable pout! So, for all of you asking what’s the best way to match your jewellery colour to your lehenga and gown, here’s the best jewellery matching guide in town. Witty’s experts reveal – tips and tricks to pair your jewellery to your dress, so you can’t help but impress 😎💖

Secret Rules to Match your Bridal Lehenga with your Wedding Jewellery ⬇︎

Crazy for Contrast

Just because your bridal lehenga is red doesn’t mean you have to wear rubies or traditional gold jewellery. Contrary to what people think (pun intended😜) Emeralds look amazing with red outfits as the green really pops against red and stands out better instead. So, think contrast if you want the jewllery to stand out and the impression to last!

Accents are Awesome

We are sure, like most brides you also want your lehenga to stand out. That’s what happens when you combine jewellery with small color accents like a eye-popping pink and blue meenakari or a motif like touch (Padmavati Style Much?) or small turquoise peeks in your necklace hidden all over the place 💗! Promise, you can totally make your lehenga pop, with these accent colours and gem drops!

Shaded Stunner

If you’re wearing a light colour like peach, pale pink, mint green or a powder blue bridal lehenga, then you can opt for wedding jewellery strung in the same colour gems, but a darker shade.  Be it Rubies, Emeralds, Sapphires or Jade.

Opposites Attract

Diamonds with traditional wear? It’s a fab pair! 💗 If your lehenga has sequin or gotta patti work, then you rock that diamond set girl! Diamond sets even though unconventional will look sensational. If the diamond set is studded with colored stones, it will automatically lift your look.

Go Bold in Gold

If your statement is bold, then with a deep hued lehenga plain kundan is the look to behold! Choose a kundan necklace that has pearls dangling to keep the jewellery contrasting. This looks swoon worthy with dark hues like maroons or blues.

Last piece of advice that we want to give you is that since jewellery is the bigger investment, as we suggested in our post on things to know Before buying your lehenga – buy that first and match your lehenga to it (Tip to note – carry the jewellery to your outfit trials 😇) PS – remember to choose jewellery that’s wearable as seperates so you can flaunt it even after, definitely more easily than reusing the lehenga don’t you think?
