We love a Valentine’s day wedding. What possible better way could there be to declare your love? Throw in perks like the groom’s courtship gifts doubling through Valentine’s week and no one objecting to your PDA ‘coz its the one time it’s totally allowed 😜. So, this Valentine’s Day we’ve decided to indulge in our biggest V-Day weakness with a throwback to the Ridhi Mehra Wedding that’s hands down our Valentine’s day Wedding Favourite! 😍
#ValentineVisits – The Ridhi Mehra Wedding 💖
Ridhi and Akshay’s was a love match and their Valentine’s Day wedding was quite a catch! With a Fab fashion designer bride and a groom with a penchant for art, every detail in this wedding will capture your heart! 💞So let’s walk down memory lane with the bride and revisit the fab ideas that still set her wedding aside!
What we’re still Swooning Over
It’s been a while, but Ridhi’s wedding details are still so in style! Be it her pretty pastel wedding lehenga (she totally set the trend😎) complete with vintage style jewels.
Then there’s the wedding ceremony in daylight, leading to a reception that went through the night. We’re still swooning over the elegant ivory and gold decor from Ridhi’s Wedding (now a signature pomegranate art design) with its Moroccon flavour and pastel floral finesse! ⬇︎
(PS. Pro tip – if yours too is a feb wedding, stay away from red roses, its their most expensive month and that’s a decision you’ll be dreading!)
Love her #GharKiShaadi Feel packed with oodles of Fun, it’s not everyday you find a Chiller Groom whose friends make him peacock palanquin to sit on! 😎😜⬇︎ #LOVEit!
Remembering the Big Day with Ridhi
We asked Ridhi how she pulled off this elegant affair and looking back at the big day what all secrets she’d like to share –
“What we wanted was a practical and fun wedding. Something elegant but also intimate. We thus decided to have just one big tradition function that rolled into a roaring reception. Looking back that was a great choice for us, because I believe in minimal dressing and never wanted anything overdone. A wedding is a one time affair after all, you should do what makes YOU feel good, something that’s relative to different people. You need to find your own perfect. I remember when I entered my wedding reception it was beautiful. It was just perfect for me.“ *sigh*
Since it’s Ridhi, there’s no way we don’t ask about her bridal fashion, after all its her passion! It’s really important to properly curate your complete bridal look so that everything blends together to create the wow, Ridhi Mehra explains how:
” I started with my outfit first, as before finalising my jewellery, I wanted to know what my exact look would be. Then it all fell into place – the makeup, accessories and jewellery” (Don’t forget to factor in the Jaimala! It’s literally the icing on your bridal cake) Ridhi stresses on the importance of letting the right people help you create your bridal look. There’s so many options and its a big decision to make.😇
Here’s who all she trusted, rightfully so to pull off a stellar show 😊⬇︎
