It’s been an eventful last few days with Indian designers showcasing their finest for this wedding season, setting trends as never seen before and all with good reason! From Abu Sandeep’s Shaadi Show to the India Couture Week, there were so many amazing new designer developments! Curb your FOMO, coz we’ve got your back, here’s all the highlights and top trends we’ve seen from all these new designer collections and ICW 2017 ✨

Shaadi by Marriot

Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla announced their unique collaboration with The Marriott called “Shaadi by Marriot”. The duo that does few crème weddings otherwise (their last being the GVK Reddy wedding) are now within your reach. after this collab, you too can have that big fat designer indian wedding at a pret price! They even launched a bridal collection here where Sonam Kapoor walked the ramp , wearing a gorgeous white bridal lehenga with intricate embroidery and Swarovski crystals. A total dream for all girls 💖

Sabyasachi jewellery – it’s not a joke, Sachi!

Hold your breath girls, after swoonworthy lehengas, Sabya’s now designing diamonds and pearls! His new jewellery collection is just as beautiful as his outfits (imagines wearing Sabyaschi’s gorgeous bridal jewellery from top to toe).

Trend Alert – His jewellery collection had folk and Bengali influences, that’ll definitely be a trend too, coz when has Sabyasachi lied to you!

The India Couture Week

We also saw the start of the much awaited India Couture week, a sure shot space to watch if you want your bridal looks to be on fleek!

Rohit Bal & Anamika Khanna@ ICW 2017

The king of couture – set so many goals and more! We’ll talk about RohitBal’s collection just as we stop drooling (literally). Gudda’s collection “Shahaan-e-Khaas” showcased Indian formal designs with heavy zardosi work (digs into mum’s closet *BRB*)

Colour alert! – Deep Maroon and Ivory with hints of emerald-green and sapphire – Jewel tones baby!

Nature Calling – Motifs to watch out for

Another trend to behold is motifs from nature for a bridal outfit that’s bold! Both Anita Dongre and Anju Modi’s collection at india couture week has motifs inspired from nature for a look that’s on fleek!

We’ll give you a hint – its all about print

Manav Gangwani’s collection was full of big traditional print motifs. We’re talking kathakali faces, animals in print (tbt the nature trend) that’s what we learnt in this short stint!
