LEHENGA LOVE

Ladies this season is all about the lovely Lehengas. Ridhi says, “Lehengas are trending majorly right now!” And when Ridhi says something on fashion, much like her designs, it’s absolutely on point! Yes, you look at lehengas for the big day itself but, fashion now is lehengas that can be styled for EVERY Occasion. We love how she has spun them with such pretty Jacket capes in her own collection!

PRETTY IN PINK

Pastel pink is Ridhi’s colour pick for this season. “Yes, it’s a total summer colour but it’s so beautiful” Says Ridhi! And we agree! Trousseau Tip – It’s the Season for Pastels and Deep Colors, there Is no Mid way for Brides this year!

We also love:

Pastels/light hues – Baby Pink, Mint, Lavender, Silver, Dull Gold, Nudes (um the colour that is), Peach,Rose Quartz.

Delicious dark colours – Deep Purple, Burgundy, Sapphire blue, Bronze and the Evergreen or rather ever–red-y bridal ‘Red’

NECK DEEP IN TROUBLE FASHION

Sexy is back! And it’s in necklines this season. Ridhi cues us in on the new neckline trend for plunging, deep and off shoulder as the designers dream styles this year!

THE SURPRISE STATEMENT

Ridhi suggests every bride needs to have one unconventional stunner in her wardrobe! Her personal pick is that of a bombers jacket! Surprised right? We were too. But she paired it with a sharara jumpsuit and damn it! We were sold on the idea!

How to mix and match your outfits to fool social media into thinking it’s a new one each time?

We too hate it when that super pretty outfit can’t be worn again in the same circle or another one either ‘coz it’s all over facebook and now everyone has seen it! What do you do? Stop getting clicked? NOO!

You wise up ladies! Think about this when you pick up outfits. Buy modular fashion aka 2-3 piece outfits. Mentally catalogue your wardrobe and pick things you can mix and match. Honestly eclectic is a look that’s here to stay!

Pair things intuitively. Ridhi recommends you could do this as simply as wearing a lehenga cape blouse with a saree the next time rather with its original lehenga! Now that trousseau tip is a keeper!

Yes, we all love shopping and it would be nice to be able to tell our bae’s and parents when they see all those shopping bags that it’s an investment! LOL!

Ridhi points to one style of outfit where your statement may actually be true! Yayieeee! The ANARKALI!

Anarkalis are a trend here to stay, simply cause they are flattering to almost all Body types. You can never go wrong with this classic. And there are so many variations of an anarkali that no two pieces will ever look the same should you choose wisely!

As a kickass female designer & a recent bride, Ridhi reveals few pointers, which are simple yet super essential to keep in mind when planning your trousseau!

• Leave a margin in your clothes! No matter how amazing your metabolism is, no matter how hard you work out, no matter how skinny you are. You will invariability put on some weight post your wedding, thanks to all the Phera Dinners. Those love handles WILL find you and if your clothes don’t fit, it will become to hard to handle! So do yourself a kind favour and get a leave some room!
