Draw from the Décor 🎊✨

Choose a cake that’s compatible with your wedding décor. This way your cake will be a highlight – a stunner and not a sidekick cake. Share your décor details like theme, colours, flowers with your chef and watch them replicate it on your cake like it’s a cakewalk!😝

Chef Kanupriya’s Technical Tip – “The details I feel, at an Indian wedding such as embroidery and jewellery are so grand, that at times it looks impossible to replicate. It isn’t!” In fact, Kanupriya replicated her own mehndi outfit on this stunning cake below! ⬇︎💗

“I painted my chintz pattern from the dress on fondant and replicated my tiara flowers in gumpaste. The same can be done for a traditional lehenga too! If the bride knows what flowers she is going to wear in her hair/jaimala, gum paste flowers are the way to go. Another great idea to personalise Indian Wedding Cakes is making custom silicone molds for the embroidery on her outfit or even her jewellery, to mould out fondant details that are an exact copy!”

Psst – Share a good photo of your lehenga pattern with your cake artist and they can make a photo cake matching your outfit that’s pretty, cost-effective and personal too!😈

The catch in creating gorgeous wedding cakes for Indian Weddings?

Time! ⏰ Except for photo cakes, other techniques take time. So the cake isn’t something you can decide at the drop of a hat! Yes, you should take the cake call after you freeze your décor and outfit. This way you can decide what look you want. BUT, make sure you give your baker a month straight to really work magic on your story!

There, you can now have your Dream cake and eat it too! Pretty AND yummy!😍
