2018 was a year that had more celebrity weddings than ever before seen! Almost every leading bollywood actor tied the knot and from these weddings MAJOR celebrity wedding trends we got! So we’re shortlisting our favourite celebrity wedding trends for 2019 so you can earmark them and make your wedding gleam!

Celebrity Wedding Trends from ALL the Bollywood Weddings 2018 hosted!

Secret Destination Weddings

Mostly all the celebrity weddings were a destination wedding this year, being Italy and Rajasthan as the favourite places to tie the knot. So its safe to say, that while you may not be going to Lake Como, but the trend definitely is to go the destination way!

An Unplugged wedding

From the big, fat, wedding, we’re now seeing a shift to small, intimate affairs with only your close ones there. There was a “NO phone” policy thats been the new thing, making sure there’s full privacy when the wedding bells ring! The celebs then sold their wedding rights to magazines so the first glimpse was set just right, you can do this too by submitting your first wedding glimpse to our site 😛

Trails

We think The Royal Wedding left a major impact on our Bollywood Divas this year. All of these girls had one thing common in their Wedding outfits – “TRAILS”. From Priyanka’s 70ft long Trail on her white wedding to Deepika’s Red reception gown or White Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla Saree and even Isha Ambani’s wedding dupatta trail – they surely made a statement and definitely a trend we are going to spot a lot in 2019!

A Million Receptions

Bollywood was surely flying high on Weddings and a lot of receptions (we’ve actually lost the count) this year. This is definitely going to be trend – Getting married in an intimately and then throwing receptions like confetti.

Well, you can’t dance all night in those heavy lehengas, gowns, and killer high heels. So currently trending from celeb weddings is clothes perfect for them after party feels! It’s a smart move to keep a change of clothes and shoes for those after parties, to be the super cool host.

Red is Back

While 2017 was all about offbeat lehenga colours instead, 2018 has been a total throwback to the traditional red . Yes, 2018 was a year of Brides with Bold Red lehengas. Sonam, Deepika, and Priyanka ALL chose red not just as their wedding outfit, but they even wore it a lot as newly weds!

No Shy Bride

All the bollywood beauties left one more trend to be told, not shy brides, rather laughing and oh so bold!

Customised Everything!

Literally! From their wedding outfits to their shoes, from decor to their Mangalsutras these celebrities managed to personalise every bit of the bridal attire they they had chosen! We loved this idea of having something special made to match, its a total trend catch!

Cute Minimal Mehendi for the Groom

As it’s tradition to put henna on Boy’s hands, these celebs came up with cute spins to make us go aww. Be it Ranveer’s deepak or Nick’s shlok, these cute caricatures are totally trending from a  groom’s outlook!

Looking Married

As most of the brides are conscious about how to look toooo married with that chooda and mangalsutra and accessories like this, our celebrities made sure they flaunt every bit of their newly wed bliss. Be it indian attire or western, wearing your (customised) mangalsutra, indoor and chopra and trends that will totally reign in 2019!

xoxo
