We’ve curated a list of things of ‘bridal shopping mistakes’ to avoid during your dream lehenga hunt !
Bridal Shopping Mistakes To Avoid While Choosing Your Wedding Lehenga !
Bid goodbye to all your worries about lehenga shopping 🙂 We’re here with the real bride’s rulebook to nail your bridal wear shopping!
1. Be careful about the fabric of Lehenga & Blouse
You can’t ignore the fact that the fabric of the lehenga & the blouse are very important. Always make informed choices keeping in mind the ongoing weather conditions & the weight of lehenga. If the lehenga is too heavy it will leave marks on your waistline & make you super uncomfortable going into the night *such a fright* !
2. Pay attention to the Blouse and Dupatta
The young brides often only focus on the lehenga skirt & it’s designs. But, you know what? The blouse & dupatta are equally important, as that’s what is featured in most of the bridal photographs along with you!

3. Always carry your heels for the trials
We can’t stress this enough how important it is to try your bridal lehenga with the exact heels you’re planning to wear at your wedding. Wear the lehenga both with the heels and without, since you’ll be barefoot for the pheras. Above all, gauge your comfort and your look both!

4. Opt for detachable Cancan
Well, make sure that the cancan that you wear to give your Lehenga a ‘royal like’ edge should either be minimal or detachable. This way you can transition into a more comfortable reception look and wear the outfit even after your big day! Moreover, be mindful that most of the shots & photograph sessions will be with your husband, so too much cancan & he’ll be standing far apart. And who wants that?

5. Time your trials
Devote your time to choose a lehenga along with time for 2 rounds of trials for any changes. We recommend an ideal lehenga selection time of 3 months before the wedding, so you don’t just have time in hand but also feel confident about the lehenga you land!
6. Don’t pick what’s trending blindly
Always consider your skin colour and body type when picking up the perfect shade & your Lehenga style. Please be realistic in your expectations- the Lehenga that you’ve seen in your insta & in your dreams may not be suited to you. Choose what’s best for you 🙂

7. Just (S)leeve the embroidery on the blouse!
Just ensure that there is no embellished embroidery on the sleeve in a long sleeved outfit. Too much work expecially nakshi & dabka tend to cut into your exposed torso and make for a very uncomfortabe wearing experience! Not to mention – a blouse with too much work also makes the bust look flat – and no bride wants that!
