Before making a DIY hair mask it’s important to understand your scalp type and what your hair needs. So, we have sorted our favorite DIY masks for each hair type, which can be easily whipped from kitchen ingredients. So scroll down to find your hair mask.
For Hair Fall and brittle hair
Ingredients :
Flaxseeds + Lemon juice
How to make :
Soak a quarter(1/4th) cup of flaxseeds in water overnight. Add 2 cups of water to the flaxseeds and bring to a boil. When it thickens, add lemon juice in it and after a few minutes, turn off the heat and let it cool. Add a few drops of any essential oil of your choice and it’s ready for application. Let the mask sits for 30-40 minutes and wash it with a mild shampoo afterwards.

For dry frizzy hair
Ingredients :
Aloe Vera+ Honey

How to make :
Mix 2 teaspoons of fresh aloe vera gel with 1 teaspoon of honey and 3 teaspoons of coconut oil. Massage well into the hair, let the mask sit for 30 minutes then wash it with a mild shampoo and use a conditioner on the ends.
For Dry damaged hair
Ingredients :
Egg + Honey + Yogurt

How to make :
Simply mix 1 well-beaten egg with 1 tablespoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of yoghurt. Mix it till you get a rich creamy paste-like consistency. Apply it well onto your scalp and hair and leave it for about 30 minutes. Wash it off with shampoo and conditioner for smooth & silky hair.
For dandruff –
Ingredients :
Coconut + lemon mask

How to make:
Warm-up coconut oil on the stove or microwave then add ½ a lemon and 1 teaspoon of honey in it. Mix well and apply generously to the hair and scalp. Let it rest for an hour and shampoo and condition your hair as usual.

For Oily scalp –
Ingredients
Besan/ Gram flour + Ground methi/ fengureek seeds

How to:
Mix 2 tablespoon of besan and 2 tablespoon of methi seeds in required quantity of coconut oil. Massage the mixture into your scalp and leave for 40- 60 minutes. Wash your hair with shampoo and use conditioner post the hair mask.
